How the numbers work
Keep the assumptions with the plan.
Outside area = width × length. Clear interior = (width − twice the wall allowance) × (length − twice the wall allowance). The open porch uses the full outside width. Unassigned interior subtracts your work zone and reserve from the clear interior.
This is a rectangular area worksheet. It does not calculate structural sizes, product quantities, prices, or approvals. Figures display to two decimal places; calculations retain more precision. A downloaded brief includes the dimensions, assumptions, and questions for your next design conversation.
